Yes. On first launch Offscript downloads Whisper and the local summary model once, with a progress screen. After that, recording, transcription, summaries, search, and export all work with no internet at all, on a plane, in airplane mode, or behind a strict firewall.
How accurate is the transcription?
Offscript uses Whisper locally, the same model family behind many cloud services. With clear mic + system audio it produces highly usable transcripts for meetings, interviews, and calls. Accuracy depends on audio quality, accents, and background noise, just like any transcription tool, but you can re-run or export instantly with no per-minute cost.
Which languages does it support?
English and Spanish at launch, for both transcription and summaries. Whisper can auto-detect the language per meeting, or you can set it manually. Summaries are generated in the language of the meeting unless you choose otherwise.
What are the system requirements and download size?
